all i've gotten out of this thread so far is everyone that's posted has a monotonous meaningless job that they don't want to do or even really care about
if the money wasn't 100k you know they wouldn't stay

where's all the owner ops or company owners making their own decisions and outrageous money with nice trucks and some real passion for trucking.

that's who i want to be. not the guy bragging about my paycheck while not admitting I'm really still someone elses b^&#*...

There's the millionaire club thread here on TTR kid. You got a lot of work to do. Chump change by their standards.

Meaningless ha! I run cryogenics liquids to all kinds of industries from mom and pop fabrication shops, tech giants, military installations, water treatment facilities, food processor's, launch pads for cutting edge aerospace research that's just the tip of the iceberg. Yes I got into this side of the industry because its steady work with great pay and benefits. So what? Chrome don't pay the bills.

this pretty much sums it up..

by the way... since deregulation of trucking
    $100,000 in 1980 equals $335,037.81 in 2020.
&& since nixon took us off the gold standard
    $100,000 in 1971 equals $645,663.32 in 2020

I wouldn’t take a run to DC or Northern VA for another 50K a year. #### that class of people AND that traffic.
