Yeah. I still think that 144 Hz at 2K is the gaming sweet spot. Mine is running COD at those settings and getting 80-100 fps. But if I ever get into 4K then I will need to get one of these RTX3 cards. Won't be in 2020 though.

1.AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU
2.LG DVD player/burner
3.Gigabyte B450 Aorus M Motherboard
4.Corsair LPX DDR4 DRAM 16GB
5.ARESGAME 500watt PSU
6.MSI Geforce 210 Graphics card (only because using the Ryzen CPU requires a separate card)
7.Sabrent 256GB Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD
8.Sceptre 20" twin monitors set up as a duel display.
This build was under $700 and does everything I have asked of it. For storage, I installed a 4TB Hard Drive I had handy. I also used my old case after throwing the old internals out of it.
I might add I am also waiting on an Optical drive to Hard Drive adapter for my Dell laptop. I am waiting to make sure it all fits and works. If it does I am ordering a new storage drive for the laptop. It gets old taking an external drive when away from home. I almost never use the DVD drive that is in it currently.Dieselboss and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -
I just wanted to add I received my laptop hard drive caddy several days ago. I have not felt very well so it just sit on the table until today. I don't need a DVD/CD player anyway. I also got a 480 GB SSD to go in it. Now I have that in the main slot and a TB hard drive in the caddy. Here is a screenshot of my Read/Write speeds and the sequential speeds. If you have the old spinning disk drives I challenge you to download CRYSTALDISKMARK and look at your speeds. Then compare them to what my SSD is doing, below.
The next image is from my desktop equipped with a Sabrent 256GB Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. Yes, these speeds are for real.
Recommending a specific brand of product is outside the scope of these forums. I do, however, HIGHLY recommend getting an SSD for your laptop, my 480 GB was UNDER $100. -
Currently waiting for November 5th to order a 5900X and December 8th to go for the RX6900XT. Maybe. Lots of money. $550+$1000 for just the processor and GFX card. But #### they're looking good.

I have the m.2 slot but purchased a Pioneer 480g ssd for $79 last year around black Friday . I pair it with a 1 TB Hybrid HD , it a little faster than the standard harddrive . This year definitely gonna pull the trigger on a M.2 .
Wasted Thyme Thanks this. -
