I recall hearing a conversation years ago about a guy boasting about the money he made hauling reefers with cadavers. Light load, easy driving, easy pick up/delivery.

I'm quite sure there's some company that does that. But with these reports of morgue trailers for overflow of virus victims(let's just keep it to hauling, let's not politicize this), I'm just curious as to whether there's a specific lot of companies that hauls what's presumably bio hazard HAZmat. Or if it's a mega carrier contract thing.

I'll be honest. If it pays handsomely, I'd jump on it.

I suspect airlines are still carrying them in the cargo bay for the long hauls.

So I'm curious, outside of a pandemic why would there be a need to haul cadavers? And to where?

The real-life BODY FARM is located at the University of Tennessee's Forensic Anthropology Center. Founded by Dr. William Bass, the Center includes two departments: a state-of-the-art scientific research facility, and an outdoor research site known as the Body Farm. Here, human remains lay openly exposed to the elements.

About 10 years ago used to see a guy late night at a place to get some coffee. He was an older gentleman and his job was to transport bodies around the State that had been donated to medical science to the university morgues. He drove a non descript Chevy Suburban and the bodies were in body bags. Said he never got any complaints.

My high school classmate died and his body went the the body farm in Knoxville. He was such a horrible person, no one would claim the body. His children finally donated it to the body farm.

I have never heard of such farms. You learn something new everyday. I doubt they do hay rides or any kind of fun farm stuff. ;)
