Heres my situation Stevens transport has helped me get my CDL kinda. Im with my trainer and I'm on a waiver driving with my permit because of the whole covid-19 issue and i haven't been to the dmv to pay for my CDL because they set up the appointment. I wanna leave because i need to start making some money and friend said he has me if i can get a hold of my actual CDL. Can Stevens keep me from getting it if i wanna leave. Im also not trying to run from my debt to the school and I'm willing to pay it back in installments when i get hired by a friend.

There is no kinda. If you went to the "hill." They taught you how to pass your CDL test. If you don't want to go through orientation and then your 240 hours out with a trainer. That's up to you. But you'll have to do it wherever you go. Plus you'll have to at least go through orientation before they will take you to DPS to get your license. Either way you still owe them the money for the school.
Stevens is a good starter company. I'd suggest sticking out the year you agreed to.Flat Earth Trucker, WrightTrucker33, Bean Jr. and 2 others Thank this. -
Well what exactly did you sign?they had to have provided you with a copy

Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Chinatown Thanks this.

What??? It's literally the last thing you do before you go out with the trainer. Again. Assuming you went through the Hill.

You don't have a CDL and while you can drive the truck down the road you are not ready to be on your own.
Most drivers encounter problems in their first year. You should conentrat on making it through the first year and then move on to better paying company.
