    This KW has adaptive cruise system...but you can override it...by keeping accelerator against the floor

    They're now talking a possible ECM issue. After they talked to me, they're saying it has parameters turned on for equipment and options we don't have, the guy behind the desk didn't realize we have OnGuard. They're emailing the Deland shop to find out what was turned on by the company. If it turned on by itself, then they say that is a sign the ECM might be going bad, or someone had it altered outside a company shop.

    *Update
    Still in the shop. There is still some communication issue between the OnGuard and the truck ECM, and they are still leaning towards a bad ECM. If that's the case, then it's Monday at the earliest before they can get it done. The more Crete trucks I am assigned, the more I miss the old Mack I had at Wy-Moore

    Is this a new KW....or does it have some miles on it...and how long before breakdown or terminal...tries to put you in another truck

    Reading this thread makes me glad I am near retirement and the trucks I do still drive don't have any of the nanny crap on them. Fortunately the towing and car haul industry has not adopted this crap, yet, and all I drive anymore are trucks for the dealership group I used to buy my trucks from.

    I will say that the new road trucks sure keep the service centers and towing companies busy with how often they are broken down and in need of towing for some stupid sensor or emission system failure.

    Sorry you are not having any good fortune with this truck either.

    289k miles. No trucks available in Deland,...in fact, they have drivers waiting for trucks that could've been ready if the company had the manpower, but they're still on 1 shift in the shop, and no real room to expand. Plus on Friday afternoon it would be a day travel in a rental at least to get me to one, then swapping gear, it would probably still be Monday before I get settled and back rolling anyway.
