Random LTL Rants (all are welcomed)

Had a delivery at this plant last week. I parked my truck at the front gate, got out to sign in, then grabbed a visitors badge from behind the counter; and I did all of this without waking up the gate guard.

Part of me is impressed with my ninja skills. The other part is kinda disappointed how little people take their jobs serious.

 

So a few weeks back, someone snuck into our employee parking lot around 1-4 AM and cut off a catalyst converter from one of our guys car while everyone was on the dock. Guessing it was some idiot trying to make a buck.

So here is my rant. Come this week, I am presuming the same person came back cause he was probably in dire needs of more automobile components.

Unfortunately for him, two of my coworkers pullled into the parking lot at the same time to start their shift, only to see a pair of legs sticking out from underneath another coworkers car. They each grabbed him by each ankle and pulled him out to make sure he was doing ok. He tried to make a run for it so they tackled him down.

Long story short, they got a good hold of him, and a third driver ran to the dock to get reinforcement. Two people trying to question this gentleman quickly turned into 10 people. Including my coworker that owned the vehicle that the suspect was hiding under.

Not sure what happened afterwards. But county sheriff showed up after my dispatcher called them. The poor bloke ended up with a busted up face, large laceration above his eye, and a broken ankle.

The deputy asked what the hell happened. The guy claimed that my coworkers beat the crap out of him. My coworker told him "you see here officer, we found this here fellar underneath my buddies automobile and we wanted to make sure he was ok. We musta startled him cause he took off running and he tripped over that there pothole, snapped his ankle and hit his head on this there bumper".

The jackhole would be thief had a backpack. The deputy dug inside of it and found a cordless hacksaw or circular saw and nothing else in it.

Everyone else corroborated the story. Nobody wanted to take credit for anything that happened. But for the rest of the shift the morning loaders called themselves the "Wreckin Crew".
