I understand where you're coming from as a former Linde driver myself. The asinine policies can be overbearing at times. Im not so sure how much things have changed since Lin and PX merged. If heard quite a few drivers and some top brass didn't like messer so the quit to come back to Linde.

But with the company supposedly changing the name to Linde at some point. I was wondering would the linde policies apply vs the praxair policies. Prax was a couple of notches worse than linde. Hell I've heard of several PX drivers getting fired for the simplest things.

Like the team driver that got axed for standing up in the sleeper when the driver hit a bump and the drive cam went off. Now that was ridiculous, he had just left the jump seat.

But if your over ten years in, you might as well stay there and finish. Dupont is HEG's largest customer so when the auto plants shut down during strikes or corona quarantine. It slows down a bit. And checks get smaller plus JB likes to talk down to ppl.

Talked at length w a 11 yr Hazmatinc driver for 2 full hours last night.
Convinced me that they are as dysfunctional as the rest.
Told me about hauling PVC and the rubber suits...uh no.
Told me about picking up broker loads to help get e coast drivers back home..uh no.
Talked about picking up small producers drums improperly packaged and labels that leak...uh no.
All units now w cameras, singles and 64 mph..I have that now!
Besides I get paid for everything from the time I arrive till leaving and go home each night. Gonna tell them Monday I'm staying where I'm at. Was told they are desperate for drivers and they are down 40 to 50 through out the system.
    I am at 11 yrs w 3 to go.

Most of their loads are Hazardous Waste. You are a target for the DOT. They do things correctly. I could not pass the Pulmenary Function test, so I only pulled vans, no tanker. They are anal about everything. I was on 3M, hauling to the incinerator at Cottage Grove MN. They also have some end dumps for hauling the ash away from the incinerator. They also have trucks domiciled at other locations across the eastern half of the United States. Not a bad company, but a lot of their drivers have health issues from being around the waste.

That's the main reason I moved on. To many messages over the Qualcomm about a driver passing. Also drivers getting cancer.

They had told me 99% d&h. They paint a pretty good picture over the phone but was told last night that he( guy I talked too) made 100K for the first time in 11 years and new hires would likely be 70 to 80. That's a 50K reduction in pay so ..
Uh no. I like my own bed at this point.

This is current, I just talked to them. I didn’t get any bad vibes or feel like they would be to overbearing at all. I didn’t take a job, ultimately it just wasn’t better than what I have now. 100k with Sherwin Williams and home 3 nights a week, Friday afternoon to Monday morning. I also keep my truck at home. No way I was going to commute an hour+ Each way, not even once a week. EA6684D6-3638-4898-927F-1DDEBA01A3D0.jpeg

Jerry White was the trainer a long time ago. Last I heard he was running the trailer shop.
