Appreciate the sentiments. I will say that the primary reason I sent the 85k dollars right back to the SBA on the EIDL money was because after sleeping on it, I didn't like the language in the contractual collateral rights they appeared to be claiming in the event of a default, for whatever reason. They included more detailed language for those receiving more than 25k dollars, as you know.

As to the PPP money, even if it's determined I would have to pay it back, 11k dollars at 1% interest over 5 years is doable. Maybe I could give up my coffee habit to offset the pay back LOL.

You do have a way with words. In addition, as an owner of a Beagle, your avatar of Snoppy kinda matches your online persona. ;-)

Bummer. One of my boys reminded me of something that happened to him several years ago.

He was on the road before Christmas and had some wrapped presents in his car, a Mercedes as well. He spent the night at a hotel, parked right outside his room. Someone broke in through the trunk, was able to get through the backseat and stole everything he had in there. Including his aftermarket sound system, etc.

The insurance covered everything, however, as a result, branded his title to the car because of his claim on the damages.

Same thing happened to my Ford super duty Dec 2019. In fact it’s probably in this thread somewhere. They stole it in less then a minute from my driveway. I’m just glad you got it back so fast and with no damage! People suck.

Collateral damage from helicopter money. Random thought to ponder the governor’s that think indoor dining is a mortal risk are the same ones that want to spend billions on mass transit.

I think I read where Newsom said CA was awash in tax revenue collected a couple of weeks ago. Something like 24b in residual cash. So much they were considering giving some of it back to the taxpayers.

California will still be looking for a bailout in stimulus money from the feds to help offset their $160 billion deficit for the state pension program. Tens of thousands of state employees haven't worked since March of last year because of the pandemic, but still receive their full salaries and benefits. One of my wife's friends is one of them. She's been on vacation for a year while getting paid.

I don't miss living in the city, back when cars actually had keys I never took them out of the ignition, I haven't locked my house in 20 years.
