According to what ive been reading on here over the years is that early emissions trucks are traded in or sold at about 500,000 miles. Id look into buying brand new and then you got the warranty.

You would have a monthly payment, but if you go with a used truck your going to be putting alot of cash into it all the time not to mention hefty tow bills and down time where your not making any money.

Pre emissions trucks are a good option if ya dont live in or plan on going to California. But pretty sure the day is coming when pre emissions trucks are outlawed in every state.

No thanks. Buying a brand new truck is out of the question.

What I would recomend to a driver who buys a used emissions truck is to read up and watch videos on the emissions system and get to know it and how to do preventive maint and repairs on it.

If you buy one of those at $70k and factor in what your more than likely going to spend on it in the near future you’ll be dam close to new truck money.

You can buy a restored 99 w900 for $70k and that's gonna be a way better purchase than 2015 one.

If you wanna stay with newer, get a brand new one. Yes, you don't wanna do it, but it's literally gonna be cheaper than buying used with 500k miles, when you look at it from a 5 years term perspective

It would be a way nicer and newer truck than the Volvo you have now, that’s something to think about. I’d pay off the 30k fast and bank up for the rebuild when the time comes. You can’t know with any truck when you’ll need a rebuild so they’re all a gamble.....
