Mabey's Truck Service in Rensselaer if you are looking for an independent shop. There is a Pete dealer in Albany that does very good work if you are looking for a Cat shop

    Here is the situation :
Driver reported loss of oil pressure and stopped to check whats going on , air compressor is loose ( i was hoping to retighten the nuts and be gone ) , called road service and the guy who showed up wasn't willing to try harder helping in this situation - studs got stripped and nothing he can do , put even mechanic on the phone to tell him how to fix it - no wish to work and help out . Kenworth earliest pull in - tuesday , peterbilt - Wednesday , milton cat was closed already ...called multiple guys - nothing . Did find another road service - in 10-15 min he should be there and hopefully he will be able to keep him rolling till he gets home ( ma-in load ) and it will be easy to fix him here because we think outside the ban ... otherwise i will probably grab tools and my pick up and head there to have him rolling instead of bringing him to dealer to suck me dry removing half of the front to have it done . Fingers crossed - will keep you posted

My understanding for easiest solution - put compressor in place , pull the studs out and secure them with wise grips to hold in place and come home adding oil as necessary . There are 2 studs that installed from inside and one screwed in from outside per mechanic

Vegas was driver fault and we worked on this to get this resolved , this time - just my luck ...we put probably 100k on newly installed engine and this is first major issue we have

    Fixed :
Smart road service showed up and had the truck up and running in 20min , happened to be russian guy and i am extremely thankful to his knowledge and honestly charging me for road service he performed . Overall he just removed the stress off my shoulders ... Have to replace studs anyway , but he ensured they will hold well untill replacement even without oil leak because the oring was still there .
