I am that person and NO!!!!! I would NEVER take a full bath in a sink like that. What I said was I was forced to skip a shower. That means I was stuck somewhere that had no shower available and washed as much as I could. An example of this was back when I was doing repos. I was sent into the Flying Fishhook at Ehrenburg AZ to pick up a Tractor and trailer an OO had abandoned and drove it to LA. It was the middle of the summer and the outside temps along I 10 was over 100 that day. The AC in that vehicle was not working and it was so hot outside I had to keep my windows up as I drove across the California Desert. By the time I got into LA I had about 2 hours before my scheduled flight out, this was before 911. The only shower option I could find was a hotel and that would have cost me the hotel, PLUS my next job. I did the best I could in a men's room to get the sweat off me and changed clothes. Of course, I did not wash my feet that day. I also made sure that the basin was clean when I was finished.
Where do you shower?

Not to be gross, but I've skipped showers now and again. At least no one else has to suffer my company!

@RichardIII when I was a trainer I told my students, just remember the only one who cares when you eat, use the bathroom, or shower, is YOU. No one at the company cares.

I have stood in fuel desk lines almost gagging because of this. Never mind losing an appetite.bigkev1115, tommymonza, 650cat425 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Showering every day is not very hard. It's better if you can shower during your 10 hour break. That way you can get shower before bed every night or every morning. Parking can be a problem at night so that can mess up your shower options. Because you have buy fuel or already had a shower credit available. Plus you need parking spot.
So stopping to shower in afternoon helps because the truck stop is less busy and more parking is available and no waiting line for showers.Blue jeans, Speed_Drums, tommymonza and 2 others Thank this. -
Showering is a good way to spend your 30 minute break. Usually no wait during the day and plenty of parking usually. That is if your a daylight driver...
I drive regional. Mostly east of the Mississippi. We do have an occasional solo run to Cali or Texas that I’ll do. It’s rare I’m in the truck more than 4 nights in a row. Usually 2 nights. So it depends on route, timing etc. But I won’t go 2 days without a shower. Now that may mean shower at home on Wednesday. Pick up load and drive to Melville NY. Sleep right in the dock. Unload and reload right there. Drive back to NC Sleep in that dock and unload at 8am Friday. Shower at home Friday. Only one showerless day. More than that... I’m stopping somewhere, somehow and getting a shower.
I usually fuel at Pilot/J but I’ll throw 50-60 gallons in anywhere to grab a free shower.
Baby wipes are your friend! Get the rewards cards at all the truck stop chains!tommymonza and sevenmph Thank this. -
