Same here, I see not much has changed.

Seems like no matter what you do, its is never "enough" or "correct" to them. I got hired no problem, asked for only 2 things, reasonable home time and a non-smoking truck. They sent me with a guy who chain smoked, to do their "company introduction training" and then gave me a smoked in truck, and told me I had to stay out 3 months lol.

All the while preaching "Its a Family Company" "Everyone is Family" "We're one big family" lol, #### me, what a time it was. I guess if you're a bunch of sister ####ers from Iowa, that's technically family right?

Worked for Heyl on two separate occasions. Both times didn’t have any issue with ZHills orientation. Never a word about a physical needed, as I just brought in my 2yr med card and long form, and that was it. Everything was smooth. They just have you go to a small walk in clinic to pee in a cup and that’s the extent of any doctors office. Then road test, sign papers etc for company, payroll and then take safety tests on computer. Very easy process and in my opinion a good company to work for.
Adam, is the boss of safety at the Akron,Iowa main terminal. He’s pretty easy to get along with, but obviously can be firm when he needs to. But he’s also fair. He is a supervisor after all. It’s his job. Maybe he sniffed out something possibly, or got burned in the past by something like this and just wanted to make sure the company is covered in regards to liability. I never had an issue with them at Heyl, and enjoyed my time there. A well ran place without a doubt.

I've generally found, it's not the BMI you need to worry about with trucking companies. It's the BVT! You gotta watch out for that real careful like. Else, you'll get it good!

Were you an experienced driver and they still sent you out with someone?

I’m a bit confused on why you would handle it this way and in so far as I understand from this post, refusing to cover travel costs seems understandable.

He didn't use words like ' body builder' or ' very tall' so the normal conclusion would be really fat.
