Price of fuel went up again in my area

You should know, these Arabs blow a fart and the price skyrockets. I couldn't operate a business today with that kind of uncertainty, I don't know how you guys do it at all these days.

 

That is part of the problem. The last years the US controlled the market and prices for a change. Now, power is shifting back to the Arabs and Russians. Now, our energy prices will soar, and their treasuries will as well. The opposite of what we should want as an America first country.

 

Watch what happens to China's economy as a result of our lack of energy independence.

 

This time last year the average price was higher than it is now.

We weren’t in a “pandemic” last year at this time. Give it a year.

 

Ok just keep thinking that. U.S. government is the one who controls how much you pay at the pump. With ##### Biden in office we'll see 5/gal diesel this summer.

If the politicians would keep their hands out of the cookie jar, fuel prices would stay lower. There has never been a shortage of fuel. It has been that the supply was manipulated by several world governments to mimic a shortage.
Way back during the couple of OPEC oil embargoes. Even then the supply was adequate, we never truly ran out of oil in the world.

Shutting down the construction of the XL pipeline doesn't change the supply of oil in the world. It will still move. Now east, west or south either in a pipe or by rail.
I heard the Texas oil companies like the idea. They will get more money for their product.

And because China is a thirsty giant it will help Venezuela and Iran develop their oil fields which will raise the supply. Not much heard in the media about that story.
