testing trailer emergency brakes versus testing trailer service brakes

    But you can't test the service brakes that way, only the spring brakes.

    I thought he was asking about tug testing the 5th wheel.

    I think he was, but I always test & leak-check my trailer brakes just before I tug-test the 5th wheel.

    That's another good reason to have a trailer brake handle. Hold it down with a bungie then go back and listen for leaks.
