In the oilfield the portajohn is just part of everyday life, unless you are one that can hold it for 12+ hours. Could usually find a spot outside for number 1. I worked with an former correctional officer. He gave me a can of disinfectant from the prison that killed everything including you if it got into your system lol. So I would designate one outhouse I would use the entire job. That one was always the cleanest.

Only once did I get to use a restroom trailer. Complete with heater and sink. That was nice.

Ahhh the trials and tribulations of hauling refrigerated freight. My next load insists on a washout. The problem is, there was only one washout that is usually open on the weekend between Lansing and Grand Rapids, but their washout is outside, and it's single digit weather, so nobody is there. All the other washouts around Grand Rapids are closed over the weekend...and the closest Beacon is 90 miles from here in Benton Harbor...which, by the time I get there and back, I won't make it to the delivery tomorrow in Bethlehem PA. Ahhh joy joy...

Yeah, but I was thinking how much I missed open deck on the way up here...then I stepped out of the truck to use the restroom this morning, and it was 7° and breezy. With the wind, it was probably below 0...not open deck weather, that's for sure.

I hear ya, I’ve done one delivery in MN and one delivery in WI this winter, definitely enjoying being in CA with 70 degree temps!

I have figured out how to use my cruise when the adaptive cruise and the radar unit is covered with debris (or it thinks it is when it's not). I thought it was holding down a couple of buttons on the smart wheel last week... But it's only 1 on my truck. When there is a fault present, hold down the resume then a message pops up on the LCD asking if you want to use regular cruise, choose YES, then increase your set speed again. Hit some intermittent snow squalls in western MI yesterday (and intermittent slick roads), but once I got on clear roads (with some snow falling) the radar waited until then to say it was blocked...clean roads = cruise control.
