I don't see how you could find that funny. If someone didn't lose their life at that particular point, I'd be surprised. We can sit up here and criticize all day and all night about people and their driving, but a lot of people got hurt and/or killed. It was unfortunate. You can make light of that, your choice. Me personally, it was a reminder of needing to be mindful of conditions and being careful.

We all say or see things in a different light
I’m pretty sure no one on here really wants to see anyone else die but so many variables in our past created who we are in the present -
Those idiots in dfw were warned as as early as monday that this was coming and of course no one heeded the warnings... all I see is everybody’s blaming the weather on social media for this mess when in reality it’s the negligent operation of motor vehicles by everyone involved in this mess
SmallPackage, Bud A., DoubleO7 and 5 others Thank this. -
Looks like from some of the reports the death toll is at 8 now.
There is NO EXCUSE for this-ABSOLUTELY NONE. Those people knew that this weather was forecasted and yet they’re driving hammer down (both trucks and 4 wheelers alike) like it’s summertime!!!
When you have weather like this you either slow it down or (better yet)SHUT IT DOWN!!!
This is worse than some of the accidents we have on I-80 in Wyoming or Pennsylvania combined!!Last edited: Feb 11, 2021

Man, people knew roads were icy, heck they could see far in advance the smoke and banging going on. Yet they kept cruising along till it was to late to even try and slow down.Last edited: Feb 11, 2021

Zero excuse for FedEx. That driver should go to prison for a long time. Going too fast for conditions and I guarantee was looking at his phone.
Sandals too probably. -

Someone else said it too, but training is a huge part of this. TransAm trucking doesn't even train their drivers anymore. They take them straight out of trucking school and put them into a truck after 7 days on the pad. Students never see the road with a trainer now, and it's showing.
