I noticed gear oil leaking from behind the dash so I took the dash apart and noticed oil leaking from the actual lock and unlock differential axle switch can one tell me what could cause the switch to leak
Leaking differential oil from the inter axle switch in the cab can one help

Drain your air tanks and see if there's oil in them. Could be engine oil in the air system from the compressor.

The orings are leaking in the differetial lock cylinder. Apply the lock and see if air is leaking into the differential indicating that fluid might go the other way.
Also check the axle vent for plugged. If air cant escape as it warms, the pressure takes the path of least resistance and may be forcing fluid up to the switch.

Diff lock solenoid is leaking. Do just as Goodysnap suggested. I've had this issue myself, just like you are describing.
