They've agreed to show me all freight bills going forward. I didn't find anything questionable on this last week's invoices. So that's encouraging. Still trying to investigate a few old ones that aren't correct and found an ally in the company who is willing to provide me with whatever old freight bills I need. Thanks for the advice and I'll keep y'all posted.

I leased onto a carrier once that showed me the freight bills at dispatch, but I had no doubt whatsoever they altered them.

If you're going to lease onto someone, go to Landstar or Mercer, even Schneider.

It's no picnic at times, but they are legit with the money.

I'd rather a boss tell me a truth I don't like than a lie I do like. Then I can deal with it and either accept it or move on. I usually work like I'm the owner and I care about the company. I can't do that if I don't trust the boss.

the paperwork you have is from internal brokerage of the trucking company under the same name, so I’m not sure how you would have paperwork. It’s all legal as long as the original broker knows what’s going on.
