DOT urine tests for sugar, protein and blood.

Anyone know of a at home test that I can take before the official DOT test?
What levels is the doctor looking for?
I'm a little concerned about my sugar and protein levels.

    Thanks

If you're at a level that needs treatment. Get the treatment.
You're doing yourself a terrible injustice by not getting a handle on it early.

Getting treated. My Cardiologist recommended Dr.Fung's book "The obesity code" and eating carnivore so I've been doing that. Feeling great.
I just want to make sure to get my two year card without any headaches.

If they find excessive sugar they are probably gonna prick your finger and check your sugar. 200 is the cut off there. Also they are gonna want to see your last A1C is 10 or under.

I just found out in December I am type 2 diabetic. I was just issued a 1 year card in February. Luckily my DOT psyical didn't require actual proof of the A1C. I am keeping my daily count around 100 so I'm sure a 10 will be attainable on my A1C. Though the one in December was off the chart.

    Good luck

I wouldn't put as much emphasis or worry about a 2 year card, as I would stemming what can be big health problems early on.

So you go every year. It's $60. No biggie.

Controlling sugar can be done with diet. I know type 1 diabetic who takes no medication at all. Follows the diet in this book. Its a strict diet but compared to the complications the meds cause its well worth it. IMG_0012.JPG
