I'm currently working with a company out SD where i got 78% of the gross, using their trailers, logos, ifta, MC, DOT. I pay for plates, ELD, bobtail insurance, quarterly ifta and 2290. I'm taking home 3k roughly a week (on average) after ALL expenses. Depending on who you are talking to that can be some "decent" money, i mean i can easily pay my bills, keep the truck running and saving up money. Btw i've been driving just for 3 years. Any advice on where i can do better would be really appreciated.
Best company to lease onto. Help

3k after expenses? That's really good......I don't know how much better itll get than that

There’s missing figures here, but I’ll agree with @bryan21384 , 3k after ALL is said and done is ok.
It’s good to ask and compare though.
How many miles and what freight?2004Pete387 and bryan21384 Thank this. -
Probably pretty darn good for after all expenses especially in that area. Not necessarily a hot bed of activity is it?
Pay yourself 50k and the business make 100k per year? Assuming no vacations. There are people with their own authority not making that.
I do appreciate your striving for more though. If you don’t then you won’t ever make more.Vampire, 77fib77 and 2004Pete387 Thank this. -

Most of CO. that say they pay for all those things take that money out of your money in weekly payments so you have to read the small print in the lease on papers you will have to sign, so it sounds like you have a good lease just were you are now?

If I am reading this correctly
You are making $1.20 per mile after all expenses including fuel etc
You are actually depositing $1.20 PM in to your bank and only other thing that would come out of that would be any possible new truck or trailer payment?
I have all new gear
2021 truck and a 2018 trailer I bought new
I figure all my overhead which is all payments. Fuels. Plates etc come out to be about $1 a mile based on my miles I run
That number will go up or down based on miles as most expenses are fixed
Anything over that is what I make and therefore anything less than $2 pm and I would be better off in a company truck
I figure all miles. From the time I put on my underwear at home until I get back
Some guys don’t figure it like that but me. I and my truck and my trailer all drove those miles and that’s what my job is so I expect to get paid those miles and so do my truck and trailer
I could say I get $3 PM loaded but it still needs to be $2 minimum for all miles or the juice wouldn’t be worth the squeeze2004Pete387 and Midwest Trucker Thank this. -
