IRP is the baseplate. Call your state and they will tell you all you need to do.

How much do you pay for the IRP renewal if you own one truck and trailer? Mine came to be around $2500.

I’m pretty sure IRP renewal is state specific. I know IRP is nation wide but I think your state handles it. I know I renew my IRP with the state of TN.

The main thing is to make sure your IRP and IFTA numbers match. If not it throws up all kinds of red flags.

    Beaver9 Thanks this.

Hey @Beaver9 . I finished doing mine today and I am ready to mail it out. My bill is $2055 on 112 000 miles.
The miles are for the last two quarters of 2019 and the first two of 2020 - I took them from IFTA reporting.
Last year, I paid something similar but the miles were less...about 90 000 as far as I remember. As far as IRP going up or not, I am not sure but it also depends what states you you go to.

    Beaver9 Thanks this.

Man, you got much less than me. I drove only 15,000 miles since I got my authority one year ago at this time. Then the lockdown happened. And I'm to pay for that $2,470. I can't believe it. I'm paying 16% of the miles driven. That is quite a bit. I figured it must be the states. I'm sure I got things right since I used my IFTA miles in each state. So, it must be correct. I spent money on new tires, so I didn't mail my payment yet. I was going to pay today. But the truck went to shop today. I might have to do it within two weeks or so.

    TIP:
When you do IRP better make sure all the numbers are correct and match IFTA for the corresponding quarters. Or else the process may become more complicated.

I wish they did the same in Illinois.
I made an error and reported mileages for a wrong quarter. I let them know about it, sent the corrected form but they still processed the faulty paperwork and issued the renewed IRP based on that. So now, I have to immerse in all that bureaucratic fun of straightening things out. With a possibility of traveling to Springfield...Damnation!
