YRC is definitely the winner for the most raggedy trucks I see typically.

Yes YRC has some old trucks. When I worked there about 5 years ago the navy blue Volvos had a million plus on them. Drove one that was pushing 2 million on the dash. BUT around in my nightly travels I typically see XPO broke down more than any other LTL carrier. Maybe YRC is just better at coasting onto the off ramp? Lol

Broke down for XPO is probably better than mint condition for YRC drivers.

YRC has rebranded itself as Yellow. The rest of us (Holland, Reddaway, New Penn) are to follow. We had a spokemouth from YRC at our Holland barn explaining this whole process. "We hold our skool to a higher standard and will place prospects through the wringer to make sure they meet our operational standards blah blah blah.".

This whole thing is a waste of time. You basically are pulling guys off the streets and dump a bunch of money and time on them in hopes they work for you and stick around.

Congrats, you just plagerized a page from Swift and CR England that do the same thing. You are short on labour so you create these training camps to fill these McDriving jobs. Of course people don't stick around, but you got this useless program that costs money to run to train people that need money but suck at this job.

I can name 7 people that got trained and certified, only to last 2-18 weeks as drivers.

You should follow me on Facebook. I got 5 videos up outlining our equipment. You would be absolutely shocked how bad it is. The files are too large to upload here

Lmao they were just almost done with painting everything YRC. Guess they just didn’t want to paint the last few Yellow branded rigs.

If I were a betting man I'd say it is very very likely that the structure and format of the apprenticeship likely meets some federal criteria for tax benefits or taxpayer handouts of cash. What do u bet this is the underlying motivation for the whole shebang.
