Crash!! I294 Chicagoland 3/2/21 1 fatality

Yikes.

 

Bumper to bumper especially heading back to Indiana around rush hour, 3 lanes of trucks all piled up running together.

I ran that lane 3-5 times a week. Gotta be on your game because when you leave a gap you have trucks nosing in and than you have to drop back more.

Zero distractions and total A game for an hour driving through there to survive. .

Rip driver.

 

Wow....the Pam truck went all the way backwards under the trailer. My goodness. Thoughts are with that driver and his family. RIP driver

 

I passed by it Tuesday morning...

My coworker told me there was construction going on and few lanes were closed...driver probably fell asleep...

 

The construction on the Tristate makes things even more complicated. The lanes shift frequently from the Kennedy/O’Hare junction (I-90/I-190) down to I-80 junction.

 

Speed limit is like 45mph in those areas but everyone is going 70 anyway.

This morning there was another accident involving semi almost at same spot.
