What gets me is how can people sleep when they're parked less than a foot away from the White line in most cases? Ignorance is bliss. Pulling over to nap on a WIDE exit ramp is totally different. Im guilty of that when i need a quick 30-60min nap

I read somewhere that there's twice as many trucks on the road as there were thirty years ago, and half as many total truck parking spaces.

So what. Only a moron would park in the breakdown lane on an highway to take a break. There are many companies that will fire you for it too.

Saving seconds on their ELD and a total inability to park a truck if reverse gear is required.

What did the trucker say when you stopped and asked him why he was parked there? Was he taking a thirty? Taking a piss? Pulled over for an emergency? Truck started making a funny noise? Blew an airline? Busted strap? Are you sure he was "parking"? Last I checked, that shoulder was there so people could pull over when they need to.

Not every situation involving a trucker is bad, just because you don't approve. Reach around behind yourself, take a firm grip on that stick, and give it a yank. You'll feel better.

I used the shoulder as my personal parking area 2 weeks ago..

Trucks don't go anywhere if coolant isn't circulating.
