What if it Snows?

I thought I had bad luck.

This guy who has been working with me..
As far as I can tell his only good luck was being born.

For the last month, here’s what I know of has happened.

A water pipe froze and busted under his house, he called me, I told him to turn off the water at the meter, and turn off water heater, well he thought he’d need hot water, so without water, he burnt up his water heater.

Then, a tree limb fell, smashing his windshield on the driver side, he’s been driving either leaning over on the passenger side, or like Ace Ventura, hanging out the window on warm days.

Yesterday his car wouldn’t start at the shop, we fiddled with plug wires, and it finally started when we were about fed up from working on it.
Then he turned it off after about 10 minutes, got his stuff out of his truck, loaded car down, then the thing wouldn’t start again.
I asked why he shut it off, said he didn’t have much fuel..

He drinks coffee all day, he went to take a drink and his lid broke, scalding him, so, with hot coffee still in the cup, he crazy glued the lid together,
A few minutes later took a drink and being still there by heat hadn’t dried, and glued his coffee cup lid to his lip.

So, he asked to borrow my knife, I asked what for, going to cut your lip off?
So he jerked the cup away tearing hide from his lip.

So this morning, we go to get trucks checked out and ready to work tomorrow, get ready to leave, he starts his car, and smoke pours out from under the hood.
He jumps out and raised the hood, luckily it is only a leaking manifold gasket and had oil drip to the exhaust and smoked up, and wasn’t a fire.

He’s been without water for over a month, said he couldn’t afford to fix it, I don’t know why he can’t, he’s made over 1100/week for the last month.

Just think you have had bad luck from what I know he’s went through.

 

Yep... All the media hype goes to these weathermens heads. I think they like to watch the chaos after such a weather report is released.

 

I think I would put alot of distance between myself and him, were I you.

 

I’m just glad he doesn’t drive one of my trucks, he works with another guy and we park at the same place and was hauling for the same people

 

I'll be heading to lincoln, ne tomorrow morning from ft worth.

 

Say hi to the truck shop for me that held my truck hostage for a whole week

 

It's actually an easy run. Pick up tomorrow and deliver Wednesday. Less than 700 miles. I should be staged up by Tuesday night for the morning delivery. Then probably a Tyson load out of lexington.
