Come to think of it; I'd rather be up at 30k feet sitting in those tight-fitting pansy ####pit seats, intermittently checking off gauges in between banging up a stewardesses while sucking back on the in-flight special 'macaron de el tarde', or some 'cutlet la pigeon', or whatever roadkill they serve up there nowadays. It's much better than having no place to park, sucking back on a tacito and cold Pilot coffee while all the dash lights blink at your tired and stressed out retinas from multiple consecutive 14-hour day shifts of nothing but self-loathing, focused attention, and fear of imminent terror ..

Yea about that, Trucking is really really bad in Canada dude, and it gets worse daily. You're better off getting an Amazon sprinter van, and doing final mile or opening a liquor store. The Taxes, Insurance, Fuel Costs, Costs of Parts, Cost of Shop time, CVIP, Tires, etc etc etc its not even close to worth it here.

I still do it, cause I love trucks and driving them, and also none of my other careers are ever coming back. So this is pretty much it, at least until this industry is totally taken over by the flip floppers.

The US is a whole different story, but we aren't in the US, and prob won't ever be allowed to be.

 

10 is just not high enough, you need a larger range to get to that level of stupidity. That would be like trying to calibrate Cat scale for super B weights using a feather pillow.
Now maybe if you add "the first time" you could get away with 1 to 100.

 

Canadian territory is all under the British commonwealth scheme of governance, so you might as well forget this land ever becoming part of USA, unless by American conquest, don't hold your breath. The Brits are in process of setting up a CANZUK system of geopolitical strategy. Who knows how it'll play out, but it definitely doesn't involve the US of A.

As for the flip floppers, you can expect more of it as cheap labor is in demand. Unionship rates falling and as results we're becoming slaves to the ideals we swore to fight against. The reasons for such fallacies are the modern notions of individualism and self-reliance. So all the trucker monkeys dismissive of unions are part of the sincere misery we are enduring today.

Including this guy, good ole Al Goodhall (https://twitter.com/Al_Goodhall) who runs his twitter complaining about the state of things, yet hasn't done anything to promote unionship amongst drivers. He fed himself first. Him and truckers like him are the reason for all the devastation we see today. Through all their inactions we suffer today. Trucking eats their young.

 

I think UNIFOR, CLAC and TEAMSTERS have done just as much, if not more damage to trucking, than the non-union companies. (IE Loblaws, CNTL)

You are correct though, fascism and exploitation are where it always goes. Canada, the UK and Aus are just getting there a hell of a lot quicker, due to "progressives". (Aka The 4th Reich).

Now they have the youth in all western nations, practically screaming for enslavement, because they believe the only way forward is communism and protectionism. (The State)
