It think that is BS! I don't agree with the driver. However the way the cop acted is a sign of the crap times we live in. Cop got on Twitter? Really? Thus guy is due his day in court. Not the court of public opinion. Honestly, whether he is convicted or not, I hope he goes after that dept for slander or defimation!

Typical response from a “woke” generation driver. No where in the story did it mention the driver by name. There is ZERO excuses for a professional commercial driver to have opened or unopened alcohol in the truck, period end of story.

Yeah, not sure of the job description for law enforcement these days, or the qualifications or IQ for the job either. If he had been out there patrolling the highway perhaps the crash could have been prevented, luckily no other people were involved. Arrest the driver, clear the scene, and move on. He actually took the time to set up the bottles, snap the pic, and post on Twitter. Maybe it's just twits that post on Twitter.

Not disagreeing. However, that doesn't change the fact that two wrongs don't make a right. So it's ok for the cop to act like a child of the times and run to twitter? What does that accomplish? It's called professionalism. Something the cop obviously knows nothing about. Nobody is excusing the driver and his actions. However, he is due his day in court and the consequence accordingly.

He should have claimed he was starting a beer bottle collection and that the officer tampered with it.

Believe that one, stick around and I will tell you another tall tale.
