So how much actual difference would 3 or 4 feet make. Would I notice?

Well, coax was the context of the conversation. I'm finally going to drill a hole in the roof of my pickup. By the formula, I need 14 ft of coax. That may actually work out.

You guys and this idea that putting a hole in the roof will ruin the truck, it is a truck, dodge that has built in rust just like it’s competition Chevrolet/gmc, all made to last until the warrantee runs out but before you pay it off so the built in plan obsolescence features take over to force you to drop millions of dollars into it to just keep it on the road.

I got a new outlook at my age about trucks, seeing the last one I bought a little bit ago was offered with a six year ... 72 month loan, these are not to be kept beyond the fourth year. I looked at dodge, but hell I am not spending $77,000 for a pickup truck, my last Ford cost me $31k and it may be a little older but it is new (stuck on a dealers lot) and does the same thing as the dodge.

Well chev was older tech, down on power and i didnt like it..
Ford had gone with the the twin turbo and i saw to many vids of turbo issues and again i didnt like the looks..
    So i went with a n/a v 8 that had the look n feel i liked...
Yes its a truck i know but i just dont wanna be cuttin a hole in the roof...I dont need no want a hole in my roof just to talk to a dude xxx miles down the road or across country....
My trk is paid off,got 0% finance over 5 yrs, still only 31000 mi(not kms)not rusted and i love my truck..
The mag mount set up gets me what i need n want so its all good for me..

my truck has 330,000 on it. I'm hoping for a couple hundred thousand more. resale won't be an issue. It's not a cherry any more.

Yeah, I'm not committed enough to CB usage to punch "permanent" holes for roof antennas.

It's like ham and eggs for breakfast.

    The pig is committed.

    The chicken is involved.

    I'm involved.
