I had a break, depressing cause you were confined to a truck and really...what’s to see in Nacogdoches anyway.
But I got threatened,
There was an angry voice wife last night on the phone.
I don’t know what her expression was, but I can imagine.
Imagine a 5’2” mad brunette from TX that’s half crazy, and she likes to fight and argue.

 

Just described my wife other than hair color

 

I found out a couple things today.

The breakfast pizza at PFJ in Resaca Ga consists of ham, bacon, egg, cheese, and sausage gravy.

It is a very tasty breakfast.

It is also an extraordinarily effective laxative.

When I reached the Love's in Corbin, KY, I had a rhinoceros dump that cleansed my very SOUL.

I walked back to the truck, feeling one with the universe, and ordered some BBQ from Sonny's.

Traffic sucks today; I-75 thru TN and KY looks like a blend of Memorial Day and Fourth of July traffic. I thought I'd eat my BBQ and keep an ear to the CB to see if the situation improves.

It has not yet improved, and the general consensus among truckers with radios is to take a nap 'til around 8pm and try again. Fortunately, I went on SB as soon as I pulled in here, and will be set to jet at 8, traffic permitting.

If not, as long as I'm back in the yard by 4am, I can get in a 10 before I go back out.

When I get home, I get to find out what “my” son did..
I told her, he was her son, I was roofied, and put into an alcoholic condition and she took advantage.
I don’t think that helped.

 

Well I did an over head on my truck again. I wanted to check the cam shaft wear, since the first time I did my overhead everything was tight. The cam shafts looked fine. That was idk 6 months ago. I ordered the stuff needed to do the jake brakes and the job properly, and or rebuild valve train... Maybe in 4 or 8 months, I'll get a bug my butt to set the jakes. It's around an hour to take off the the valve cover. Then you have to crawl underneath engine and bar it over. I bought the pin too to get tdc. The last two times I have been using the dimple on the fly wheel to determine tdc for 1 and 6.

I started it and it sounded fine. Better than before, but nothing was really out of wack. Only like a third needed to be adjusted a little. New radiator resivior on Monday and a coolant line. Probably back to work Wednesday.

 

I had one 5' 2 1/4, similar. Short women make good wives, little easier to overlook.

 

She probably had resorted to the "wait until your father gets home".

I think I handled that..issue.

He got caught with chewing tobacco/dip.
He’s 17..
I don’t know where he got it, supposed to be what 21 now?
Anyway, I just said I better not hear of you bumming, you do it, you better buy it & you better not be caught spitting in front of mom.
But, you’d have thought he’d been caught with weed...or worse.
So, I told him either learn to keep a bunch of nasty spit, drink it or don’t do it and quit carrying it in your back pocket, I mean wth, you wanna get beat up by a mad woman, and I will not save him again. She’s gonna wear you out with a belt or no truck to drive and be riding the school bus or both.

So.
She wanted to know what I told him.
I told her next time she sees him just wear him out with a belt, he knows better.
I know he’ll keep doing it no matter what, I used to smoke when I was 17, That don’t make it right, but still.

I might do a challenge, as I used to use trophy chewing tobacco years ago, though I don’t get hooked on anything, if he can out last me on no spitting tobacco keep it up.
