I did take it when driving my little Civic just to check it out. It windes around some hills enough that you would need to drive in the oncoming lane to get safely around with a trailer.

In Ca. we have signs saying "not advised" as in kingpin to rear axle. So, to me "not advised" means it's not prohibited. It's just not advised, right ? But I can tell you how traffic enforcement thinks and that is if you can make it through without any problems, that's OK. However, break any laws (like going over a double yellow line) and you're busted. Do ya' feel lucky ?? ( always loved that Clint Eastwood line) :biggrin_2559:

    That brings back some memories.

In the Bay Area where I grew up there was a road with a sign that said, 'Dangerous but Passable".
And that was meant for cars, not big rigs.
We called it 'D but P', and it was one of our favorite makeout spots as few cars ever went on it.

I have a fairly long, and at times funny, story of what happened when I got stuck on that road one rainy night.
Tow trucks refuse to go there.

In california we get a lot of these but they are usually done because of complaints by the locals and I even know of a state truck route that has the signs, The road goes by my yard and to a rock quarry and many green house with lots of truck traffic but they scare the drivers that don't know and it makes signs that really warn of dangers to be ignored.Being a bit of a smart ### and knowing the rules my discussion goes someone like I understand why you don't want any 2 Axel trucks over 7 tons those trucks and drivers are unlicensed and trucks are unsafe
