    2009 Peterbilt 389 valued at 53,000
    1 Truck operation
    Based in Alabama, running 48
    15 year CDL
High 6’s on the credit run
No tickets, 1 “Backing incident” in 2016 on a dock...

Quotes were based on 1 Mil liability and 1k or 2500 deductible best I recall. I can’t find the emails or I’d have all the details. Doing quotes again this week or next since I’m getting closer to my release. I’ll post them here, but here’s what I have so far.

I have yet to put my truck on the road yet (Achilles surgery plus recovery  ) but I did like several and called Progressive first, then I called OOIDA, and never got a hold of Great American.

    Progressive: $26,800 Annually
    OOIDA (No hazmat): $19,200 Annually

    Beaver9 Thanks this.

When I asked why my quote was so low, they said driving record and credit score. After the 1,000,000/100,000 the rest of my policy and deductibles were middle of the road. I could have got it even cheaper than $11k if I wanted. I don't pay jack #### for insurance on a 2018 Denali Duramax either.

Yeah Credit weighs in for sure. OOIDA said that they offer a percentage discount for verifying work history as well. So there are definitely several factors that also depend on the company I guess.

Most of what you mention i wasn't even asked.

Type of freight, no hazmat. Age of truck.
And I believe otr was the radius. I don't plan on otr ever again though but just to be safe. 1mil and 100k.

And length of driving I believe was also asked.

As for raising the amounts. That talk has been going on for years.

What does that have to do with raising the amounts?

You pay more for a lower deductible. With Higher deductible you'll pay less. All those things i listed add to the price, progressive never ran my credit.
