I always loved to drive.
Back when I started you could run how you saw fit to run.
As long as one of your books was legal so were you.
It was a chance to travel and see the country..and get paid for it.

I always loved to drive and travel...I always wanted to be a truck driver..our kids grew up and moved away so after I retired after 26 years as a police officer we hit the road..I grew tired of dealing with politics and people..I don't regret it one bit

Got fired from Micky D's, Hardee's wasn't hiring. Never driven anything bigger than my Geo metro and I had absolutely zero mechanical aptitude so I figured why not be a truck driver

The entertainment aspect was unreal, lived on the edge and was tough not to have some excitement , to say the least. Always had money in my pocket and it took a lot.
Most exciting was the Drivers and all the Men and Women I've had the pleasure to meet, the trucking industry is huge.
So, knew nothing but loved to drive, took so many professional people to teach me just a little.
I'm 70 now, made a wicked good living. Still doing it, not sure how much longer but still learning from you Guys and Gals every day.

I always wanted to drive a 48' flatbed down the wrong way one way street in NYC. It had to get there one way or another.
