Alright fellas. Sorry to keep you waiting. Had to clean up and put my tools away first.

I couldn't get fuel pressure at the gauge. Itd come up and stay around 10psi but wouldn't get any higher.

I had watched some YouTube videos where a guy had taken a brake bleeder setup and used a fitting to connect it to the return. So I figured hell why not try it since I've had no luck with anything else.

Needless to say no one around had the fitting I needed so I had to make do with just pushing the vacuum tube against the fuel line fitting. Sucked out quite a bit of air and some fuel.

After a bit I decided to try cranking it. And it started making pressure. Itd get up to about 55 to 60 pounds but would stall out there.

So I kept going back and forth between pulling vacuum and cranking until it finally started trying to kick off but didn't have quite enough pressure to fire up. Read about 60psi on the gauge at this point.

At that point I started to just crack the return line and bleed any fuel or air that was there and then crank. Repeated that 3 or 4 times until it finally kicked off and stayed running and brought up pump pressure from 65-70ish to about 95 while running.

Needless to say when I change filters again I'll just pull vacuum on the whole shebang from the get go and avoid this 4 day fight all together.

Shop around and if you get a better quote take it back to your insurance company, also note that you might still be getting tagged with a higher "FT MacMurray" rate. That rate is mostly hidden but does exist.

Next time you change filters put 1/4 turn valves on both sides of each filter housing and avoid major air locks. My '89 Cat B model just had a shutoff before the first one and it helped but when I put 3 more on it really helped.

Oh I know all about that. Soon as I moved out of there my rate dropped nearly $800/year

I'll try it on the primary. The secondary I don't think I'll have the room to be able to.

Next time I change filters I'll definitely start it up and get the rpms up pretty quickly and keep them there for an extended period of time. I guess I didn't let it run long enough to make sure all the air was gone this time
