Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

If I shut the truck off, wait 30 seconds, then just turn the key to on (w/o starting it), then reset the opti-idle with comfort on...it goes back to working right.

That would most likely be the case with me. When I had the PA shop look at the inverter to replace it, it hadn't just almost burned out, so there wasn't that gawdawful melting smell, so they switched it on...everything lit up and worked. I told them to run it for 10 min and then take a sniff, but they wouldn't. They said there is nothing wrong with is, and it's normal for it to kick off when you start the truck.

 

Well, it was fairly accurate to the actual miles that route added up to. But because of the delay getting me loaded, I didn't have the hours to go that way and make it to a decent place to park after passing the Love's in N.Las Vegas, and that Love's is a good distance from my delivery. Going my way, I beat their paid miles by a few dozen, and got a heck of a lot closer before taking my 10.

 

You know, it's never a good sign when your load info for a shipper has specific instructions to follow in order to receive detention...and those instructions are before any load, pu or del numbers. And, I see why. Live loading at Kraft in Union City GA...or I should say, sitting in front of my trailer, waiting for it to be loaded in Union City. Looks like some more steak money this week. Made almost $100 in detention last week. Sure am glad they don't do things like they use to here as far as detention pay.
