Delivering to Meijer in Lansing. Who knew they had more than one 'off campus' warehouse. Got here yesterday since my next pu appointment will make things tight on my 14. Go to check in this a.m. and "you're at the wrong location"...I mean, this is a huge complex, most of the warehouses they have here have different addresses, but you check in at the same gate, and they give you directions once you're inside...this one isn't in the mega-complex, it's up the road at a different location. Lansing must love Meijer, if nothing else, because, with this much property they get a lot of property tax out of them every year.

This is only my 2nd visit in recent memory. The last load was nanners, so the unload went pretty quick. Today's wasn't as fast, but compared to some of the places I have visited, it wasn't bad...except they forgot to unlock me from the dock. After she called and said I was empty and the paperwork was in the back of the trailer and when I get the green light, I am good to go. 30 min later, I finally got the green. Which is ok because I had ample time to get the trailer swept out and down to my next pickup hours early. Plus it gave me time to reply to the latest idle message from Deland...yes, he is back to pushing my instant A-hole button again. That's ok though, when I leave, I throw his arrogant ### right under the bus.

I used to pick up treated lumber next door at Biewer Lumber. That Lansing Meijer DC was HUGE!

And it's getting bigger. The main campus has at least one good size addition going up that you can see from the staging area. The building I delivered to up the street is also getting a decent size addition as well.

I can see why they're getting bigger, they have just about everything that walmart has but much better fresh groceries and despite being extremely overpriced on many things their sale stuff is usually a good discount.

Lonesome, Farmerbob1 and motocross25 Thank this.

That kind of how HyVee is here in the Midwest. If you don’t get in on a sale you’ll get your pants pulled down over most of the pricing. But once they do have sales on stuff it’s usually a pretty good markdown. That and their meat counter is second to none. At least in the area, and by comparison.

Found a decent shipper for a change. Redgold in central IN. Appointment was 16:00, live load. I was rolling down the road loaded by 17:30, and part of that delay was the people in line in front of me not remembering to bring their pick-up number back in to get their paperwork after being loaded (and were told they needed that info to check out when they initially checked in and given their dock number). Now headed to A-whole Grocers in Norfolk, NE. Then possibly Lincoln to get this POS truck in the shop, or that's the plan, I finally got a reply to my latest messages to Deland's idle crap. Claimes he hasn't received any of my messages over the past 4 or so weeks, which is b.s. What probably happened is, he usually sends out his b.s. out at the end of the day, then goes home. That way any replies or direct messages are received, but go in an inbox that might eventually get read or just deleted days later because it's too late to reply.

Lot of good getting Deland to msg op's about getting me to Lincoln after empty tomorrow did...planners sent me a load that pu tomorrow afternoon, delivers in Ft. Worth Friday. Not nearly enough time to fix this POS...I guess since I am running hard, they can't ##### about that. I am running safe, they can't ##### about that either. I am not causing any driver caused freight claims, so there goes that ##### point...so, let's not fix his truck so we can ##### at him about his high idle.
