High pitched squeal/whistle under high boost

    Hello, I’m getting a high pitched squeal/whistle from the turbo area under high boost/load.. Truck has 531k on the odometer. Anyone know what it can be? 2013 ProStar Maxxforce 13

    Could be something as small as a pinhole in the air to air.
    Loose clamp.
    Something of that sort.

    Should be around 43psi. Check for exhaust leaks, any signs of soot, can cause a whistle. Rear manifold is a suspect spot. Best bet is to use a smoke machine, every dealer should have one.

    I get that on my Maxxforce all the time.

    Have yet to figure out what it is.

    The tube from the turbo to the intercooler was loose. It’s held on by two metal rings thats lost its clamping force. I put two cheap hose clamps on it for now and it’s gotten much better. I’m gonna put some T clamps on it for a good air tight seal soon as I get some off time.

    I just want to say, I've had my MaxxForce for 3 years now and she's been a good truck.....

    IIIFFFFFFF you do regular services and don't idle it.
