42 cents per mile say 600 miles a day say estimated 12 hours with break and pre trip and ect.... is 21/H tho?

 

I've been screaming at this for years, the only wages going up are the mandated minimums. You're better off in fast food service nowadays, or some warehouse.

When you drive into a company plot look at what the employees drive and what management drives. There's your answer.

I think i've mentioned this a few times, but I know guys who have quit OTR, and gotten jobs at 7-11/Shell/Superstore. 5 days a week, couple extra shifts on the weekends here and there, no expenses of living on the road, low taxes, free food. Net income/quality of life, they were WAY better off than driving OTR company.

 

No kidding, I'm thinking of getting in at Costco! Decent employer apparently ..

Did anyone behind the wheel get an essential pay boost? nope, not many, if any at all. There's more money and respect now working at grocery stores.

 

Minimum wage is 15 bucks or is each province different.
