Crazy how you can see an isx with a million miles on it before it needs an overhaul. Then you can see one needing it at 400k. It's almost as if it user error. ‍♂️

Example, you have drivers cruising along at 1300 rpm, doing oil changes every 50,000 miles, doing your first overhead adjustment at 500k miles, don't even think about changing out your imap sensor. EGR tune upper? Hahaha nope. Bypass oil filter?
nope. Of course your engine is gonna blow

The only time I've heard the term "dusting" being used in the trucking industry is when these guys in the PNW are leaving all of us in the dust on the yearly revenue list. Like when Fred takes off in the Flintstone mobile... kicking up all that dust... C'mon!!!

Sure, I’m telling you we blew apart 10 X15s, and none of the Volvo’s or Detroit’s exploded, same company, same shop. Cummins is China, end of story.

Few days ago I spent two hours in the car with a Volvo parts guy. We of course were chatting about trucks, engines, all that stuff. He said X15's come in all the time with issues and cams being a huge one.
However, he said, it seems like it was a huge batch from one supplier being bad and now Cummins got it figured out

Sure, but they said the same thing about the fuel pumps, cams and head gaskets on the ISX.

reminds me of a company i know that started losing all their automotive contracts because they were having a hard time keeping the parts in the racks.. 8 months to a year later they were cutting everyone else's rates by half and getting the contracts back.. it's amazing, you start a conversation with "cheaper" and no one hears anything after that
