So I have a 1999 Mack Dump truck and of course the AC isn’t that great in these old trucks. Just recently got some tint done to the truck and it helps out somewhat but the summer heat is just around the corner. So I was wondering how you all stay cool in your trucks on those hot days. Any tips or advice would be appreciated, thanks!
How do you all stay cool in the hot weather?

I’ve bought an oscillating fan that come with a clamp to put anywhere in the cab. Comes with a Plug for the cigarette lighter.

Keep an ice chest nearby where you can dunk a towel to wrap around your neck.. and drink lots of water.

Get your AC serviced. No reason a 99 can't have good working AC

Good a/c and an idling truck. If your company won’t let you idle and has no apu, then find another company

I’ve knew an old timer that told me that back(way back) in the days when there was No A/C, he carried plenty of water and a towel, he kept the towel wet/damp round his neck to stay cool. That was there A/C back then.

Check under the hood, from the thermostat housing or near the oil cooler for water valves. Turning off the water flow to the heater core really helps in cooling the cab. But be warned, you won’t have heat of any sort during a cold morning.

I'd guess in a 99 dump truck the evaporator core or condenser, what ever the thing in the cab is called that cools the air, is probably in bad need of a wash. They get full of dirt and dust and air can't get through it.
