    Canada is in most cases restricted to a 244" wheelbase. Hence they call that setup the Canadian Spread. Easier for PMing too. Fitting in between the drives is nice.

    I'm looking to strike the best balance with my next W900. They're heavy, but dependable and wouldn't mind a Canadian setup either. Looking for either a 1996 to 2000 or a 2018 or newer with a warranty (either way no truck payment)

    I think its 60” instead of the normal 54”.

    I live in Canada and have never seen drive axles with wider spread. That's why I'm wondering if its primarily an Eastern thing since I never go that way.

    I think our company used to do it to help cheat on overall spread sense we run the US and Canada with 4 axle tractors. A truck with a 244wb and a 60” spread will have a 3” longer overall spread then a 244 with a 54” spread and down here 1” can make or break ya on bridge laws.
