you have no chance of being under 40k with any RGN trailer with that truck. It will be 25k bobtail at least. My 4 axle is 29+k bobtail. Even a 35t mechanical 2 axle will go 20k and won’t hav near enough back to load the 20k steer. Same is you go with a step trailer - it ll be lighter but you won’t load the steer more than 14-15k

I guess what I was getting at is, that is a truck for a very specific type of trailer and hauling a steady diet of legal loads is not practical. A 4axle axle like that needs a 13-14’ neck to load the steer and at least a triable trailer to overcome the empty weight. Most guys running similar spec tucks are only doing maybe 75-80k miles per year, the guys running freight spec trucks eat your lunch on sub 40k lbs loads - they are running cheaper trucks that get better mileage and are 5k lbs lighter. They can get into places that a long wheelbase pig can’t.

just trying to help - get the right tool for the right drive.

Well, I think my ac compressor for the bunk/park smart went out, that won’t work.
It wasn’t doing to good the other night, last night it was blowing 75 degree air, same as outside.
I’ve made it home, gotta check that thing out in daylight conditions.
    It’s always something.

I’m camping at Hebron Ohio again tonight 55 degrees and almost the same ratio of trucks idling. The children are doomed. I wasn’t stuck here it just worked out 640 miles today and used 5:25 of my clock ( ag exemption is evil) last week 4100 miles 29 hours left on my 70.
