I dunno where your at, but the lot lizards around here are pretty rough. Keeping protection in the sleeper is a must. :D

Watched the news lately? Going to the grocery store could end your life. Shootings aren’t just for crappy neighborhoods anymore. I carry everywhere now. People are crazy. I’m a fairly big dude and can hold my own, but I’m still gonna shoot if attacked. Not interested in losing a fight and being paralyzed. And if you go after my kids or girl, I’m shooting to kill. I’ll deal with the consequences afterwards. I got this thing about touching others. You just don’t do it. Cuss, scream, throw a fit but Don’t place your hands on another person. If you do expect the worst. If you don’t value my life than I don’t value yours one #### bit.

You’re not worried about wearing the seat belt while driving will delay you exiting the vehicle in a fire ?

the odds of thugs breaking in are much higher than your truck catching on fire

but if you’re worried , get a smoke detector in the cab .

The odds on either happening are vanishingly low, but trucks do catch fire once in a while. In my 22 years as a CDL driver, I’ve never had anyone try to break into my vehicle, nor have I heard of it happening to any of my coworkers.

    True

the danger of getting mugged is much higher when you’re already outside the vehicle in some urban area making a delivery or pickup .
