Can you have your buddy send you a pic of how his is routed? Or are they the same?

Mine doesn't squeak, and has new everything, but I can still spin the fan pulley in the belt going one direction, just like you.

Dino soar, Rideandrepair and Don379 Thank this.

dam, wth. so thats routed like it should. im at a loss then. I even soaked that hub pulley with wd40 to see if for a split second the squeek would happen and instead slip. It still squeeked up there anyway.I hate gremlins man

Can you get a can of belt dressing and hit the belt to see if the tone changes? Could probably do it with the fan off so it doesn't blow everywhere, and then kick it on.

Also, is there any possibility it's the A/C belt, instead of the serpentine?

yeah im gonna pick up a can of that crap on sunday and try it, just to trouble shoot. Tomorrow i have a bunch of stuff to do. At the same time when i do that, i will loosen the a/c v belt all the way up to where its not touching to rule that out as well. I cant take it off alll the way becuase i have to remove fan to do that. I will definatley report back

What brand belt is that? Gates?

Have you tried an OE belt? or others....
