Just got back into a truck and currently hauling Frac sand in the oilfield but what I like is open deck freight.Wanted to see what is a good average that one can make in a week through brokers/load boards?
Y’all can message me the numbers if you don’t want to put them out there. TIA
What is a reasonable amount one can make with a flatbed weekly through brokers?

Your authority, if you dont gross 4 k youre not trying or ypu havent figured out the right lanes yet, and it really should be closer to 6 on the average

@skallagrime nailed it. I make about $1,500 per day in the NE. Only had one $15 toll so far this trip. Made $2,700 the last two days, and still have half a tank of fuel left.

I try to run the Midwest. It has decent traffic and easy on fuel compared to where I live. I make a lower rate on the way out. Then really good for a weekish while I'm there and then okish to come back. I was out for just under 3 weeks this time and averaged right at $8k a week. Then take just over a week off.
Edit: that includes my downtime for Sundays for a restart and I got home on Thursday. So that is $8k average over a 5.5 day period or so.Nostalgic, Mattflat362, Dadetrucking305 and 2 others Thank this. -
I live in south GA
Run southeast and industrial Midwest
1,000 a day and I’m happy

Hrmmmm, im late to the party it seems, but mostly ive been fixing a truck or two, doing taxes, and getting my new trailers in proper order for the past month, looked at my numbers and it seems flat is catching up with van, ill revise my numbers
1 truck your authority, 8k should be relatively easy right now, 6k only if youre genuinely lazy (3/4 day weeks/going home empty) or like cheap freight.
Im leased on a percentage, and we do have a few customers that we have to keep happy but 800 a day per truck on the road seems about my take on a not amazing percentage compared to many out here (there are perks to the place and style im running that make the % work for me though)cke and Dadetrucking305 Thank this.
