Center the drums back up, probably best to buy the deals, I forget what they are called to center them, assuming we are talking about hub piloted and not buds.
-
Even with wheel centering devices, you might not ever be able to get the drums to center back up on the shoes. I fought one truck an entire afternoon trying to get the drums centered. Had to put on a new set anyway.
-
Had a truck with hub pilots that we fought a shake after a brake job. We tried putting new drums on immediately after finding shake during the test drive. Test drove again after new drums and it still had vibration. Got centering studs and put them on and no more vibration. I also have since started running centermatic balancers and have seen improved tire life.

Heres a different one to try, unmount the tire spin it 90 degrees on the wheel and remount it. Then have a beer, not good for brake vib's works on out of balance tires
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Aluminum hubs will corrode away where the drum is piloted on the hub and then the drum can be off centre. I have run into this several times over the years. You may need to replace the front hubs.

I got about 3k miles on both new Michelin steers, I just installed new centramatics, I had balance 3 times in the last 20 days or so, those drums that I didn't replace looked really good, I am thinking even though tires are newer it's the tires. I can live with vibration that I notice mostly around 35-40mph but the truck is shaking at 60-62, I mostly notice when empty or bobtail, not shaking or vibrating at 70+ empty or loaded, I really don't wanna do this at the moment because job is slow but I will put new drums tires and rims on the steers and will see what happens

I have same problem, i just replace steer drums and brakes , now truck will shake around 45 to 70 mph , it was fine before , it’s a 2016 cascadia , I will take it back to the shop so they can check it out ,
-
Same problem here ,put new stear shoes( Meritor) and drums on my 2017 Cascadia and after brake, its wibrating, i am using ballansing bids and didn't have such problem before up on braking.i also have sentering long bolts but mechaning didn't use it. Only difference i noticed on old and new drums are ,log nuts hols on old one was 1 ' wide and new one has 1 1/2' , i asked to the dealer i needed exectly the same as my old trums but ,they talled me my truck had pilot hubs and it didn't meter the hole width. Now not sure what and how i can resolve this proble ,very hard to deal when my wife drives and i have to skeep
