I'm wondering if the OP was a 1099 operator. Workers Comp is pretty much automatic if you are injured on the job as an employee. Now......that does not mean the WC insurance company will not hesitate to #### over the injured worker at every turn.......and make your life a living nightmare!! Don't ask me how I know that!

Are you 1099 or W-2? If you’re misclassified 1099 another option would be the IRS.

Long FLD Thanks this.

No. I was not a owner operator. I worked directly for the company. Here's the deal. I worked for this particular company, got paid by this company, drove trucks with this companies name on it and was issued pay checks with this companies name on it. Then when I got injured and it look like it was going to cost this company money? The boss says wait, I have my company leased to another company in another state and they are the ones responsible for the workers comp, not me. So 17 months ago I had to call that state and find a worker comp lawyer in that state. So I did. And now when once again it looks like that company might have to pay because of my detailed logs, notes and medical reports from docs and surgeons. Their best game plan response is to say that,,, "I Never Worked For Them"!!! So I guess I made up all those trips, tax returns and pay stubs? Just conjured them up out of thin air? So that's why I asked about legal advice. To see if anyone had ever been in a situation like this?

@Mr.Peterbuilt777 You still need to answer the 1099 question. Were you paid 1099 or w-2? That is simply the most important question to answer, and the fact you refuse to leads me to guess that you are a 1099.
Well, that's yet another negative about assisting the company to break the law. -
