Here is what you need to do, go to the state bar association and ask for a list of pro Bono legal representatives, contact them and ask them if they can do anything for you, at this point you waited too long if this happened 17 months ago.

LOL. Would you work for free? Why would you expect a lawyer to work for free? pro Bono is a myth. Oh sure a couple of very high priced lawyers will do a little free work for pr reasons. The vast majority of lawyers are too busy running a business to work for free. After all, it's not like a lawyer can start a case and bail 1/2 way through. Most judges will look unkindly on a lawyer that tries this.

No, I think that's his whole problem. He's hoping someone else will pay for his lawsuit when the real world doesn't work that way.

There are a million lawyers out there that handle WC cases on a contingency basis, usually 33 1/3% of the settlement. They know the whole racket inside and out. If you can not find one of these lawyers to take your case.....chances are you do not have a case. Many of them will pursue a " disability" claim. In the event they reach a settlement, they get 1/3 of every disability check you get. WC is a boon for lawyers, employers and insurance companies......not so much for the injured party. I am not trying to rain on your parade, just want you to know.....be ready for a couple of years of hearings, depositions, Doctors appointments ( by the way, the insurance company Doctors will testify that you are not injured, never were injured, and are not entitled to jack ####.
