Crete Carrier just as a solo driver, wife just rides, making more here as a solo driver then teams make at CFI. Just had a lady come over from CFI and her pay went from .42cpm to .57cpm. Been here 3 years next month, won't be changing companies unless they go under

An extra 13 cents per mile, that is quite a hike in pay. God bless that lady for being able to uplift herself that well. WOW!!
    1)
The big question is this. Does Crete have both decent & consistent miles each week, or at least a decent consistent average for each month.
    2) HOPEFULLY the answer is an absolute positive yes.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.

Yes to all of it, when I left CFI I was making .46cpm and I started at CRETE making .51cpm in 3yrs with all the raises we've gotten I currently make .63cpm (just got a .03cpm May 1st) we also get an extra .02cpm from one of the customers we haul for until the end of the year. On top of that we are currently getting .04cpm for all miles ran in this quarter (April-June) pay out in July if we run at least 30,000 in that quarter, last quarter I ran around 31,000 I believe and saw a $1274 bonus. These are my miles, few mths are alittle low because we home for week and then was in the shop.

You went home for a week, last time I worked for Shaffer trucking/crete carriers in 2010-2012 they would barely let the truck set for 4 days on time off. I'd stay out for 5 weeks and go home expecting 5 days off, 3rd day they were calling telling me I had a load that picked up on two days later, on my 5th day off, generally before 1100 100 miles away. Whose running the Wilmer terminal now? I think when I was there it was Rocky or Ricky, something like that. Caucasian, about 6', beard and mustache, around 210-225 lbs.

Last July we went home for 2wks & they never said anything but because my wife rides with me I stay out for 3-4 mths at a time sometimes longer. I believe it's a guy named Mac, I think he's a older black guy. Im usually pre-planned on a load going back out before I even get home. Crete has changed alot since I've been here.

4 months since everyone's last check in. Makes me sad, this thread used to be so alive. Wonder how everyone's doing?

Wife and I just entered our 7th month running LTL for R+L Carriers and are loving it! Actually just got a house, getting the keys this weekend! Since we're now home 4-6hrs a night and on weekends and holidays, it actually makes sense for us to have a place. Even if it's just temporary. Hope everyone's doing well.
