If you are worried about your car, buy a beater from an auction. I used to buy beater cars to leave at the terminal that was 100 miles from my house. No personal effects, except for the registration. Beaters would go for anywhere’s between $300-1000 and would usually last a year, no maintenance. It blows up, call those people who advertise on Craigslist for buying junk cars, and take your tag off and go back to the auction. Simple.

I was concerned about the heat and the non-perishables I had left behind, so I gave them verbal permission to take my food; everything else they boxed up (idk what they did with mattress) and I recently retrieved the second car load.
I’d imagine they usually throw crap left in trucks straight into the trash but I’m only on medical leave.
KLLM can usually park on FFE yards; we share a lot with them in Ontario but I’m not familiar with their other locations.Last edited: May 13, 2021

I left my tractor at the Atlanta Terminal of my last carrier in the last few days of Nov 2012. I really don't care where it is today!

The older trailer reefers are really loud, the new ones are not that bad. You do get used to the noise, kinda like a lullaby, sings you to sleep. In the last 4 yrs I only about 5 of the loud ones.
