Is this a normal wear pattern for steer tires at 80k-85k miles?
Just trying to see if there's anything to be learned.
Please help and say more than "not normal". Explain why and how to prevent it....
And yes, they have been replaced.

What kind of tires are those?
When was the last time the truck had an alignment? How old are the shocks?Last edited: May 14, 2021
DeereRunner97, slow.rider and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
I'm brand new to trucking but worked at Firestone complete auto care for 3 years. That looks like an alignment issue AND/or front shock issue. I have NO idea what the life span on truck parts are but on 4 wheelers, shocks should be replaced by the mileage you referenced in your post.

This is a link about tire wear. It might shed some light.
If it was my truck. I would get the truck aligned and tires balanced( I have balance rings) replace shocks.
Good luck.JoeyJunk, DeereRunner97 and slow.rider Thank this. -

Original to the truck at now 402k. Pictures were about 7500 ago.... I don't remember what brand name the tires were. I just get paid to get from point A to point B, alert the office when something is wrong/needed; but not decisions related to any sort of solution to an issue outside of daily type safety/hours use/routing type of things -
That's not only whacked, those are dangerous. And you should get the front end checked and those tires replaced immediately.JonJon78, JoeyJunk, bryan21384 and 1 other person Thank this. -
What pressure do you have in them?
